How to Measure Your Room Before Buying Furniture
The #1 reason people return furniture is because it doesn't fit. Here's a quick guide.
1. Measure the room. Length and width. Note any bay windows, radiators or built-ins.
2. Measure the doorway. Both width and height. Also measure any hallway turns.
3. Sketch a floor plan. Painter's tape on the floor works great — mark the footprint of the sofa or bed you're considering.
4. Leave walking room. You need at least 30" between the sofa and the coffee table, and 24" of walking space around a bed.
5. Bring your measurements. Our team in Los Banos will help you find pieces that fit.
